The Harbinger
The Harbinger is a nationally recognized student news publication and my entrance into the world of storytelling. This is where I learned the most in high school, full stop. Effective communication, working under tight deadlines, leading a staff of 70 — by diving in head-first, I was a Co-Editor-in-Chief and Head Copy Editor by senior year.
As Head Copy Editor, I led weekly brainstorming sessions to create high-quality content for our publication, approving what stories would make their way into the issue. I organized a team of copy editors, implementing structured schedules and regular check-ins with our team of writers. Below are some award-winning stories I wrote during my time on The Harbinger.
